Article III. SPECIAL ACTS 1949, ACT NO. 215—BOARD OF PARK COMMISSIONERS  


An act creating a board of park commissioners in the Borough of Naugatuck.

There is established in the Borough of Naugatuck a board of park commissioners to be composed of five electors of said borough, to be appointed by the mayor with the approval of the burgesses and to serve the following terms: One for five years, one for four years, one for three years, one for two years and one for one year; and annually thereafter members shall be appointed for terms of five years to replace those whose terms expired. The members of the board shall annually elect a chairman. The members of the board shall serve without compensation. Said board shall administer, maintain and control the park, playground and recreational facilities of the Borough of Naugatuck with full privilege to apply to the board of mayor and burgesses and to the freemen for an annual appropriation of funds for such purposes.
